All New Glendora Public Market Scheduled to Open July 2020

Drink. Eat. Hang. Live. at the all new Glendora Public Market

The stylish 19,000-square-foot food hall will bring together a curated mix of

beloved SoCal food & drink purveyors under one historic roof

Coming this July, the Glendora Public Market will be debuting a mix of local food and libations within the completely renovated Wonder Bread building which was built in 1948. Preserving the rich history of the neighborhood and the authenticity of the space it occupies, vendors that will be ready to welcome customers will include Smog City Brewing (taproom), Jinya Ramen Bar, Belly Bombz, and Chunk-N-Chip, among many others.

Committed to operating with the utmost caution, management and tenants will be strictly adhering to the guidelines the state has set forth for restaurants to re-open amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, and continue to follow the direction and recommendations of public health officials as those guidelines evolve. The market’s communal spaces – which include a large central courtyard and patio – will be open for a limited capacity, and vendors will also be open for curbside pick-up and/or delivery to accommodate customer preferences. Until the space is fully operational, people can also expect the team to host a number of virtual community events, such as cooking classes and demos, via the market’s Instagram page (@glendoramarket).

Belly Bombz serves a range of Korean-inspired wing, rice bowls, and burgers created by Executive Chef Albert Shim.

Vacant for over a decade, the Glendora Public Market will feature architectural elements such as exposed brick walls, 20 foot barrel vault ceilings, and wooden truss, all of which are original to the building. The reclaimed historic space will be the largest food hall in the San Gabriel Valley, offering an one-of-a-kind haven for guests in the region who want to create their own ultimate dining experiences with quality offerings in one place.

Chunk-N-Chip makes their treats just like Grandma did with old-fashion values, only bigger! They create handcrafted, flavorful products with real, authentic ingredients.

The full lineup of those offerings include:

  • Smog City Brewing: creatively inspired and exceptionally balanced craft beers.

  • Jinya Ramen Bar: ramen that specializes in thick, rich broth complete with a wide array of authentic toppings.

  • Chunk-N-Chip: craft ice cream sandwiches made with small-batch ice cream.

  • The Taco Man: authentic, Mexican-style fresh chicken, steak, and pork tacos grilled on-site.

  • Portside Fish Co.: fresh seafood dishes such as fish and chips, calamari, and fish tacos.

  • Belly Bombz: Korean-inspired wings, rice bowls, and burgers.

  • Steelhead Coffee: craft coffee, kombucha, and pastries.

  • Boba Break Tea House: unique boba drinks and delicious desserts.

  • Bolo: bolo (aka pineapple buns) with fried chicken or seasonal ice creams for dessert.

  • Cassidy's Corner Cafe: fresh bagels and bagel sandwiches.

  • A pop-up, turnkey space (530 square feet) for a rotating lineup of temporary vendors.

BOLO takes Hong Kong’s favorite bread, the Bolo (aka pineapple buns), and updates it with their top secret fried chicken for a savory treat or seasonal ice creams for the perfect dessert.

“The Glendora Public Market will bring an amazing new cultural activation to the area, and as the first brewery taproom to open within the city limits, we are proud to be part of it,” says Laurie Roberts, Owner & Founder of Smog City Brewing.

Smog City has put its mark on the craft beer scene with creatively inspired and exceptionally balanced beers.

“The market atmosphere will provide a unique space for people to experience our craft beer, alongside many other fantastic vendors. Although far from the home brewery, we’re planning to showcase a huge selection of our regular offerings and special limited releases that were otherwise difficult for those on the east side to get their hands on.”

Public Market is located at 905 E. Arrow Hwy. in Glendora.
