Bowers Kidseum Once Upon a Time
Bowers Kidseum in Santa Ana a place for Exploring and Play + Enter to Win 4- Tickets!
Looking for a fun place to spend some intimate one on one time learning and exploring with your littles? At Bowers Kidseum they have a whimsical and educational exhibit running now through August 28th that you won't want to miss. Once Upon a Time...Exploring the World of Fairy Tales takes you on a journey into some of the most well known and beloved fairy tales from around the world. This fun and interactive exhibit features seven stories, teaching their real meanings while you and your children become apart of them.
Your journey begins as you make your way over the rainbow bridge of Anansi and the Talking Melon. Crawl into a moles hole in Thumbelina reading a book to creating your own amazing story with a fun green screen and all the costumes you can imagine, there is an adventure waiting around every corner, it's all just waiting for your imagination to bring it to life.
Teach your children all about Jack and the Beanstalk, try your luck at catching a wolf in Lon Po Po or work like a cobbler at The Elves and the Shoemaker exhibit. Play the harpsichord in the Beauty and The Beast story while preparing a feast to dine on. Upstairs features Cinderella where you can dress up in her raggedy dress to sweep, mop and cook in front of her kitchen hearth or ride away to the royal ball in a ballgown as you watch the scenery glide by you. Don't forget to try on the magic glass slipper and see if it fits! While your child is playing, learn all about the origins of the stories as in Cinderella, it is the worlds most favorite fairy tale dating back to 1697 and has been retold by almost every culture in the world.
It's all about taking your time, exploring and letting your children learn at their pace at Bowers Kidseum. We were all over the place going back and forth between the different activities, our group of 2 girls (8 y/o) and one boy (6 y/o) had a blast for over 2 hours!
Get creative at Kidseum in the Art Studio and inside the Glow Cave. Get hands on with their art making activities that change on a weekly basis. During our visit we made a panda out of clay and colored glow in the dark animal masks.
Kidseum is perfect for kids ages 2-10 and what unique place it would be for a birthday party!
