Butterfly Pavilion in Buena Park Coming Soon
Buena Park for Immediate Release:
Butterfly Palladium opening summer 2017
A brand new attraction is coming to Buena Park where the once Movieland Wax Museum was located. The butterfly Palladium just had it's ceremonial ground breaking and will be home to butterflies, a hummingbird sanctuary and much more. Read all about this fresh injection to the cities already booming revamping on this 8.7 acre lot located on Beach Boulevard. It is sure to be a draw for locals and tourists alike.
This new and exciting venue is fashioned after the Butterfly Wonderland Park in Scottsdale, Arizona and is set to feature a sanctuary for butterflies, hummingbirds and other wildlife. There is plans for an aquarium with jellyfish, a 3D movie theater, a cafe as well as a retail shop.
The existing Movieland Wax Museum sign will be redesigned and stay in it's original position. The site has been home to the Bodies Exhibit and the Titanic since February 2013 and is looking for a new home.
In addition to the cities $5 million investment on the road and landscape improvements along Beach Boulevard, Buena Park has also recently sealed deals to add a Rock and Brews Restaurant (now open), Porto’s Bakery and Cafe (now open), Stanford and Doubletree Hotels. The new Butterfly Pavilion could open as soon as early 2017 drawing at least 900,000 visitors per year. I for one can not wait!
