A Chill is in the air once again at the Queen Mary this holiday season with an all new theme for the entire family to enjoy! By the looks of the renderings this years Chill Ice Adventure Park looks to have something for everyone from every corner of the globe. This one-of-a-kind experience will celebrate the traditions of Christmas from six different regions exploring international fare and cultural celebrations, dancing and live performances plus Sunday night fireworks, a nightly Christmas Tree Lighting and visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus that will surely to put you in the Holiday spirit.
This winter enjoy a 38,000-square foot Ice Adventure Park featuring an Ice Skating Ice Track, Ice Bumper Cars, Ice Tricycles, a 300' long Zip Line, Ice Shuffleboard, a two-story, 140-foot-long Ice Tubing slide and so much more! Adults can chill out with a cocktail in a new Ice Bar, where you will have to wrap yourself in a parka to experience vodka how it was meant to be enjoyed – just above freezing. Ever been to Chill at the Queen Mary, the past two years have had different themes and this year they went ALL ICE. Alpine Lodge Cozy up to the second floor Chateau Bar or dine downstairs at the Lodge Restaurant on traditional Swiss bites overlooking our Tubing Slide. The Fire Pit Roast marshmallows and build your best s'more at the toasty fire pit. Matterhorn Mountain FREE w/admission - The ice slide is back with a vengeance… so take a ride down the side of Matterhorn Mountain! Ice Bumper Cars Add-On Ticket ($5) - Hop in for a smashing good time! A twist on a favorite childhood past time!
What we liked and a few tips: The wrap around Ice Skating track was really cool! You got a good view of the event and many of the shows that were happening within the inner areas. My family really likes the Tricycle Ice track as well. We did the Zip Line and it was awesome but just know the line can get long. If seeing the 4D Movie, be sure to sit in the first few rows closest to the stage to either the left or the right to experience more "frozen" fun! FYI Ice skating assists (penguins) are an additional $10 to rent. Unfortunately the Northern Lights Show one of the things we were most looking forward to seeing was not open during our visit but I can only image how amazing it will be under the dome! Be sure to bring a jacket if attending in the evening, most of all have a great time!
