It's THE Most wonderful time of the year! Irvine Park Railroad's Christmas Train event is a must do on our family's list during the Christmas season. Have you ever been? Well if not, it's a train ride from Santa's Village to the ultimate stop, the North Pole to see, chat and take a pictures with Santa Claus himself! 

The park undergoes an all out in transformation immediately after their annual Pumpkin patch. What they accomplish in those few short weeks is nothing less than a Christmas miracle in itself. Learn more about this years 21st annual Christmas Train, how to secure your tickets and be sure to enter for your chance at winning a 4 pack of tickets for this special train ride PLUS a few other goodies to make the visit even more magical!

Here's what's going on this year:

Santa's Village

All activities (unless stated) are 1 Ticket

$5 per ticket  (purchase a book of 15 for $60 a $15 savings)

The Christmas Train (SOLD OUT)

With your reserved boarding time, line up in the queue as instructed and enjoy the colorfully lite ride through the historic Irvine Regional Park. Your first stop will be to visit with Santa at the North pole. After your visit with Santa, re-board the train and be transported back to Santa's Village where you will pass through the Tunnel of Lights and enjoy a magical light flurry of snow before finally arriving back at the train station. It's truly a magical trip that we look forward to each year.

During your layover at the North Pole, there will be coffee, hot chocolate, freshly-popped popcorn, hot pretzels and cookies from the Elf House Snack Bar available for purchase. A full kitchen menu will also be available at the train station. 

Come dressed in your holiday's best! Visitors may take their own pictures with Santa or you may purchase a picture taken by Irvine Park Railroad. Each 5” x 7” photo will be presented with an Irvine Park Railroad frame available for pickup shortly after your visit with Santa. Oh and don't forget your x-mas list, the big guy will be all ears!

Here is a little more info on the event: Everyone must have a ticket. Tickets cost $12 and are available ONLY online. Children 24 months and younger are free. The parking for Irvine Regional Park is $3.00 per vehicle on weekdays and $5.00 per vehicle on weekends; parking for the Christmas Train is free after 5:00 PM. 

Tips: Plan your time at Santa Village depending on your train ride time. The ride to the North Pole is best enjoyed in the dark, so plan accordingly. The activities within Santa's Village can all be enjoyed before or after your train ride. Set aside approximately 3 hours to see and do everything. Tickets go on sale starting  November 1st and the event runs December 1st through December 23rd.
