Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge announces the return of Enchanted Forest of Light! This event has become a family holiday tradition for many and for good reason! Ever evolving, innovative and oh so inclusive, this holiday season’s hot ticket continues to be at Descanso Gardens. PLUS This year, on select dates, you can get a discounted ticket making it all the more affordable for the entire family to experience.
Enchanted Forest of Light runs November 17, 2024, to January 5, 2025. This annual holiday tradition transforms Descanso Gardens into the breathtaking Enchanted Forest of Light, taking guests on a captivating journey through stunning light displays set amidst the serene beauty of nature.
Wonderous shimmering night garden
By day, Descanso blossoms and chitters with cheerful and welcoming, sunlit landscapes. By night, Enchanted Forest of Light transforms the gardens into an entirely different realm of magic, mystery, and incandescence. Enchanted’s inventive installations cultivate a parallel world with light, color, and ambient music that transform familiar garden spaces into whimsical, dramatic, and sublime botanical artscapes.
Returning favorites and fresh delights
Expect to see popular returning installations, including an entire town of magical “stained glass” houses by contemporary sculptor Tom Fruin; sparkling geometric installations from HYBYCOZO; Flower Power on the Promenade; and exquisite lighting effects in the Ancient Forest.

Children under 2 are admitted free of charge.

Get your tickets online to reserve your time
Enchanted is open rain or shine and there are no refunds
Wear a jacket and shoes for walking, it does get a bit chilly
The exhibit is accessible for wheelchairs, scooters and strollers
If you have little ones, coming early might be the way for you to go
Your ticket allows you to stay as long as the exhibit is open that day
No animals allowed (except for ADA service animals)
Parking is free
Walk is about 1 mile in length and takes aprox. 1- 1-1/2 hours to complete

Beverages and snacks are available for purchase (no outside food allowed)
Founded as a public garden in 1953, Descanso Gardens is located at 1418 Descanso Drive, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011. Descanso Gardens is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults; $11 for seniors and students with a school I.D.; $5 for children 5 to 12, and free for children under 5.
