FX Networks New Period Drama Taboo

FX Networks New Period Drama Taboo Debuts January 10th

This post is sponsored by FX Networks but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

I am big on historical fiction, it's by far my favorite genre when it comes to books, movies and television shows. What's the draw for me? I'm fascinated with the landscapes, clothing and architecture of people and places from a time I can only imagine about. This January 10th I will be glued to the T.V for the premiere of FX Networks new series Taboo. Definitely not for the younger ones (rated TV 14) it promises to be a dark and gritty look into 19th century London and beyond, intrigued yet?

Set yourself aside some you time this winter, grab a comfy seat and get ready to be taken back in time with a major drama filled with turns and suspense you won't want to miss.

Oh the treasures (and dangers) that await to be discovered with this Spyglass!

A brief synopsis of Taboo: An 8 part Original Series

Set in 1814, Taboo follows James Keziah Delaney, a man who has been to the ends of the earth and comes back irrevocably changed. Believed to be long dead, he returns home to London from Africa to inherit what is left of his father's shipping empire and rebuild a life for himself. But his father's legacy is a poisoned chalice, and with enemies lurking in every dark corner, James must navigate increasingly complex territories to avoid his own death sentence. Encircled by conspiracy, murder and betrayal, a dark family mystery unfolds in a combustible tale of love and treachery.
