Luzia is a play on the words Luz and alluvia which mean light and water. The latest show by Cirque Du Soleil will quench your spirit and sooth your soul in this their 38th original production. From script to stage the latest big top production focusing on Mexico was 2 years in the making. We were treated to a private display by several of the shows stars and had the opportunity to talk with them as well to learn more about life on the road and how many of them came to be apart of this fantastic show. Creating bonds that go beyond blood we learned, these performers spend 6 day a week living together, training together and most importantly being their best to insure everyones safety during the performances. I have some interesting facts about the show and an amazing Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal on tickets to both of the Southern California shows.

During our press preview we met several of the performers, Ponce was a street performer in France and Laura Biondo is a female soccer player from Venezuela. These amazing free style soccer performers showcased in the show are as unique as it is. Talent is everywhere and that is exactly where the scouts for Cirque find their next stars, at casting, chance sightings and auditions from people around the world to bring only the best to their shows. The lead vocalist Majo Cornejo is from Mexico City and has a voice that will blow you away. One of the Cyr Wheel performers is a hometown local of Los Angeles, Angelica Bongiovonni shows amazing control of the approximately 20 pound "ring" that is custom made to each performers height and weight, it is mesmerizing to watch her spin.
