What I'm Doing to Maintain My Body Sculpting Results
So the healing is done, swelling gone and the felling to all of my body has returned. Time to pig out on all those treats I've been holding off on, after all the fat got sucked out of me right... um hell no! Liposuction is no joke and keeping your results calls for some lifestyle changes across the board. Here is what I'm doing to make the most of the procedure and the results I achieved.
- Regular workouts at the gym or walks in the park
- Cutting out excess sugar and fatty foods
- Drinking tons of water
- Getting proper rest
- Cutting down on meal sizes
- Choosing better food options
- Snacking less (I think this is the hardest)
When we eat out, we all tend to eat more, consume more salt and the offer of "would you like to look at a dessert menu"? Come on who eats dessert after ever meal at home normally? Here is where I have continued to keep the scale in balance. Ordering a burger, cut it in half and only eat half and no cheese thank you. Fries with that burger, opting for a salad or soup instead can save you the craving for fried food. Ah and a nice cold beer with that burger sounds great, sure but make it one not 2. Or if you are a soda drinker, get tea or water with lemon instead. These are all modifications I have made to help curb cravings and keep the calorie count lower. In my household I do the shopping so guess what everyone, no cakes, no cookies no ice cream, why??? Because I WILL eat it! Out of sight, out of mind people.
Don't get me wrong, I still splurge here and there but I am more conscious of what and how much I consume. Liposuction surgery is not horribly difficult but I had several areas done so I don't want to forget the sacrifices I made, the time down and the recovery process I experienced. I'm not getting any younger, my metabolism is slowing down so the struggle is real and I'm not allowing myself to go back to my former "fuller" shape!
