Why I Support CHOC Walk in the Park

Why I Support CHOC Walk in the Park

This was our 2nd year participating in CHOC Walk in the Park at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. We are huge Disneyland fans but this fundraiser goes way beyond a "walk in the park" before it opens to the public! CHOC Walk in the Park brings the community together for one single goal, to raise funds for health care programs, education and research for Southern California’s kids. The icing on the cake besides the amazing vibe and sense of community during the walk is the joy of seeing your favorite Disney® characters cheering you on along the 5K walk around Disneyland and DCA. Celebrating the purity of children has never been so fun and teaching the importance of acceptance, understanding and compassion to my daughter is priceless!

Ears, check, Let's do this! At the CHOC main Stage before the opening ceremonies began.

It was another successful CHOC Walk in the Park! To date $2,300,000 has been raised by the 12,000 plus walkers and the 33,000 individuals and organizations that contributed and the best part, the support continues to pour in! If you missed this years walk there is still time to help reach their $3.1 million goal, fundraising continues until September 27th giving walkers a chance to earn prizes like the commemorative CHOC Walk lapel pin, the CHOC Walk medallion and Disneyland® Resort Park tickets! The best part you will be helping protect the health and well-being of the children right here in Southern California!

Your donation to the CHOC Walk makes an immediate impact, providing families with care during the most challenging time of their life. CHOC Children's provides the highest level of care not only to patients, but to their siblings, parents, and extended family. So even if you don't have the need for their services, it's a blessing to know they are there for others and in the rare instance you too might need them someday. This is the reason I support CHOC.

Since 1964, CHOC Children’s has been steadfastly committed to providing the highest quality medical care to children. Affiliated with the University of California, Irvine, our regional pediatric healthcare network includes a state-of-the-art 279-bed main hospital facility in the City of Orange, and a hospital-within-a-hospital in Mission Viejo. CHOC also offers many primary and specialty care clinics, more than 100 additional programs and services, a pediatric residency program, and four centers of excellence The CHOC Children’s Heart, Neuroscience, Orthopaedic and Hyundai Cancer Institutes.

I for one hope to be apart of this amazing organization for years to come. To keep in the know, donate or sign up to volunteer for next years walk, please visit CHOC Walk in the Park below!
