It's all about the historic Route 66 this year at the fair as each exhibit will feature a Route 66 theme. Take a walking trip from Chicago to Santa Monica at the Mother Road attraction. Replicating the most iconic sites from the 2,448-mile trek, this mini road trip atop the Fair’s Hillside takes guests through Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and Arizona, stopping at famous mile markers like the world’s largest rocking chair and the Cadillac Ranch. It wouldn’t be Route 66 if there wasn’t a Wigwam Motel, straight from Arizona. A visit to La Verne, California, takes visitorsto the historic Mt. Baldy Drive-In where theycan enjoy a vintage movie while snacking on popcorn and old-fashioned candy from the snack bar. The trip ends at a replica of the Santa Monica pier, complete with seaside snack shacks and aerial entertainment.
The Route 66 menu will feature $6.60 meals and classic Fair/Route 66 food items at each concession stand.
