Have a green thumb? If not, Armstrong Garden Centers can help! Gardeners of all skill levels are invited to their upcoming community classes. Each workshop will encourage attendees to nurture their green thumbs with a wide range of topics to get ready for the new year. Classes will be held at all store locations, except the Irvine outlet. No registration required for these classes.

- Saturday, June 15 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Garden Party (taking place at the new Morena Blvd. location only) – Enjoy wine tasting (ages 21+), light appetizers and special savings during this Grand Opening Garden Party.
- Saturday, June 17 at 9:00 a.m. – Growing Plumerias – Plumerias have arrived and Armstrong's selection is unmatched. It is so easy to grow the Hawaiian lei flower — come select your favorites. Learn basic care and techniques to keep plumerias healthy and blooming all summer long. No registration required for this free class. Class not available at the Irvine Outlet or Morena Blvd. locations.
- Saturday, June 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Grilling in the Garden (taking place at the new Morena Blvd. location only) – Enjoy a free, old-fashioned hotdog and chips lunch at this Grand Opening Grilling in the Garden event. Top if off with an ice-cold soft drink while shopping Armstrong’s nurseries stocked with colorful plants and outdoor furniture in the latest styles. Food will be served while supplies last.
- Saturday, June 24 at 9:00 a.m. – Growing Succulents & Cacti – Easy-care succulents and cacti love the heat and are water-wise. Both add wonderful color and texture to gardens. Armstrong Garden Centers will show class attendees how to care for these popular low-maintenance plants. No registration required for this free class. Class not available at the Irvine Outlet location.

- Saturday, July 1 at 9:00 a.m. – Red, White & Blue Planter Make & Take – Create a patriotic look for the porch or patio with this red, white and blue planter. Attendees will see a demonstration and hands-on plating. Registration is necessary to attend and a $15.99 fee is required day of class. Class not available at the Irvine Outlet location.

- Saturday, July 22 at 9:00 a.m. – Growing Citrus in the Home Garden – Participants will learn tips to grow bounteous crops of juicy citrus fruit and hear advice from Armstrong’s experts. Class not available at the Irvine Outlet. Pasadena and La Habra locations will host a tropical fruit tree class during this time.
- Saturday, July 29 at 9:00 a.m. – Colorful, Flowering Water-wise Plants – Waterwise gardens can be full of colorful flowers. Armstrong’s experts will show attendees perennials and shrubs that provide blooms and beauty all year-long. Class not available at the Irvine Outlet.
Each class is instructed by a nursery professional who will offer timely gardening advice and hands-on demonstrations. Classes are open to gardeners of all skill levels.
