Chinese Warriors of Peking at the Musco Center for the Arts
For one night only! Chinese Warriors of Peking will captivate and enchant audiences with a stunning display of martial arts and acrobatics within the Musco Center’s intimate, 1,044-seat performance hall. Set during the Ming Dynasty, this new production tells the tale of two rival marital arts disciplines competing in the ancient Chinese capital of Peking. Under the direction of Qui Jian, the Shaolin and Wudang performers demonstrate their exceptional athleticism through juggling, contortion, traditional weapons handling, live stage combat, and breathtaking, gravity-defying feats.
Chinese Warriors of Peking is an acclaimed martial arts company from The People’s Republic of China. The company gained international recognition when their award-winning “Slack Wire” act was adopted by Cirque Du Soleil. The group continues to garner attention with this new production that takes place on a re-imagined Ming Dynasty court during the Emperor’s annual martial arts tournament.
Tickets for the October 5th performance are on sale now ranging from $20-50 and may be purchased through the Musco Center online at www.muscocenter.org or by calling the box office at 844-OC-MUSCO (844-626-8726).
