Family Autism Night at Pretend City, once a month and always free!
These days are specifically set aside for Families with children of all ages who are on the autism spectrum or have other developmental disabilities. Pretend City will be closed to the general public during the event and is by RSVP only.
Many community partners, who specialize in supporting children on the autism spectrum, will be on-hand to enrich your family’s play experience with welcoming smiles and practical support. Watch a video tour of our museum here.
Play Partners: Pretendgineers and Brain Builders, our experienced stage staff of trained early childhood and child development educators, and grown-ups.
Grown-up Tip: Encourage your child to participate in a group art project in the Art Studio during your next visit to Pretend City Children’s Museum. This will provide your child with an opportunity to practice social interaction and teamwork. The children will enjoy creating their own piece of art prior to cooperatively making up the whole project. This allows children to express themselves individually while still getting the opportunity to practice communication and cooperation with others.
