Titanic Screening at the Queen Mary
Anytime is a good time to spend a day on board the Queen Mary but on Saturday, April 21st, Alamo Drafthouse and Rolling Roadshow will present James Cameron’s blockbuster TITANIC in the most unforgettable way possible: beneath the stars and on location at The Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. Die hard Titanic fans of all ages won't want to miss this event bringing the film to life with a self-guided tour of the Queen Mary, access to the museum, and a look at the Titanic exhibit. This installation features rare photographs and over 150 artifacts from Titanic, her identical twin sister Olympic, and the rescue ship, Carpathia.
This event it will only set you back $25 and included with the price you get access to the ship, entry to the Titanic exhibit and a spot to watch the movie under the stars with the soothing sound of the water nearby. Since the movie starts at 8pm, plan to get there early to explore the ship, enjoy a drink and dinner if you are inclined. There are four restaurants to choose from, feel extra fancy I can't recommend Sir Winstons enough. Check out just some of what you can expect.
This event is part of a multi-city series of outdoor screenings dubbed Rolling Roadshow, and will be the biggest Los Angeles event leading up to the opening. The event is set to include a string quartet, like in the 1997 blockbuster movie. The movie screening itself will take place on shore, not within the ship so be sure to dress accordingly it can get chilly there at night.
Tickets for the event include: A self-guided tour of the massive HMS Queen Mary (roughly 1.5x larger than RMS Titanic), access to the museum, a look at the Titanic exhibit featuring rare photographs and over 150 artifacts from Titanic, and access to movie screening and GA Seating.
- All attendees can arrive as early as 3PM for Check-in
- Self Guided tours of the ship will be allowed 3PM - 7PM
- Screening will begin at 8PM Event will occur Rain or Shine.
- In the event of serious storms that force event cancellation, options will be given to refund the ticket.
