Visit several points of interest while learning about your chosen city's rich history, entertainment and culture with Urban Adventure quest. This game is available 365 days a year, sunrise to sunset. Start when you want and you play at your pace.
Turn some of our local cities like Los Angeles, Catalina Island, Santa Barbara, Hollywood or San Diego into a giant game board with this fun Scavenger Hunt adventure. It's a mix of the Amazing Race and a self guided three-hour city tour. Using just a smart phone, teams set out and make their way among well known landmarks as well as the overlooked ones in the chosen city. Your mission: To solve clues and complete the challenges given while learning local history. Your team earn points for challenges completed throughout the Quest with the final scores being posted to city leader boards among the other competing team's. Detailed Adventure Descriptions:
The Los Angeles adventure begins in Olvera Street and takes you from Union Station to Grand Central Market, Angels Flight and to the Bunker Hill area with many historic and cultural sites along the way. The tour requires approximately 2 miles of walking and uses the city’s metro system at one point in the game.
The Hollywood adventure begins in at Hollywood and Highland and takes you on a course among the star-studded sights along the walk of fame to Hollywood and Vine. The tour visits many famous and historic locations along the way revealing hidden secrets and tricky challenges. The tour requires approximately 1.5 miles of walking and uses the local transit system at one point in the game.
The Getty Museum adventure begins upon exiting the tram. The Quest takes you around various galleries and along paths bordered by flower to explore both the Central and Sculpture Gardens. Experience art, architecture and the gardens as you explore, learn and have fun. Museum entrance is free.
The Catalina Adventures begins in Avalon and takes you on well-designed course along the ocean front, past the Casino, up the canyons and back down through the town to the scenic waterfront. The walking tour is less than 2 miles in distance whereas the Golf Carts and Bikes takes you further into the canyons and hills for spectacular views.
The Santa Barbara adventure begins at the waterfront and takes you from Stearn’s Wharf, up State Street and among the historic treasures of this seaside city. The tour requires approximately 2.25 miles of walking.
