My top picks for Autism Friendly Places to Have a Birthday Party
Looking for a place to have your special needs child's birthday? I have a few places close to my heart as they have all aided my child in her growth and tolerance for the larger "parks". I'm sharing my top 3 places to visit that A. won't break the bank and B. will be perfect for your special needs guests as well as their "nuro" typical peers. The following 3 locations are all in the greater Orange County/San Gabriel Valley and are suited for children 2-10 in my opinion (but you know your child best). Best part, there's no mess to clean up and you can actually enjoy being a part of the party too, crazy right?

Pretend City: Irvine
This place is know for it's autism events and has an abundance of sensory areas as well as a private party room. Party details: $385 and up

I've yet to partake in a party here but the place is made for our kids! No limits to how long they can play at any given area, lots of sensory materials like water and sand and plenty of areas to take a break. I can't say enough about the place.

I've attended a birthday party here when my high functioning daughter was 5, she did super well and loved the place. It served as a great priming tool as well for our first visit Disneyland. The rides are entry level, lines go pretty fast and there is something for everyone from the petting zoo to the train ride and the live show. Great confidence builder too as my daughter was afraid of the carousel.

We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gym: Laguna Hills, Pasadena, Whittier, Glendale
This place is an amazing indoor OT playground. During their private parties they close the place down for your child and their guests, providing a set amount of time, a party room for the food and tons of fun equipment as well as crafts for the kids. Party Details: Starting at $150 an hour Min. 2 Hours See site of desired location for packages/party options.
I was very happy with the visit we had at the Pasadena location, great staff, fun equipment and a great workout for the kids too.
