Legoland Star Wars Miniland The Force Awakens
Legoland Star Wars Miniland The Force Awakens Now Open
Since it's introduction in 2011, lego fans and guest alike have been enjoying the LEGO Star Wars Miniland just outside Miniland U.S.A. Improving on this in 2012 with the addition of the Miniland Gallery and then the behemoth LEGO Star Wars Death Star in 2015 that was made with over 500,000 bricks, the latest additions were unveiled on March 9th and recreates 6 of the scenes that make up the first 30 minutes of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
We were there for the official ribbon cutting and opening ceremony, it was ushered in with classic Legoland style and a major showing of the force! I'm sending one lucky family to check it all out, read what's new and enter below for a family four pack of tickets plus a cool Star Wars lego set!
Star Wars fans can get up close to all the details from The Force Awakens and be apart of the fun too. The newly renovated area includes these action packed scenes: Kylo Ren’s capture of Poe at planet Jakku; Rey’s rescue of BB-8; Poe and Finn’s escape from the Star Destroyer Finalizer; The wreck of Finn and Poe’s TIE Fighter; Rey, Finn and BB-8’s escape from Niima Outpost; and the escape from the Starship Graveyard. The addition of lights, sound effects and animation brings it all to life with the hands on interactive stations that allow you to make the action happen at a touch of a button.
A major highlight of the renovated area is the 16-foot-long Star Destroyer Finalizer, made of over 350,000 LEGO bricks. Installed more than 6 feet in the air, it is now the longest LEGO Star Wars Miniland model ever created. Several Life Sized characters have also been added. Are you Team dark side or with the Resistance? Join Kylo Ren or stand tall with the Resistance with Rey and Po, which side will you choose?
