Travel restrictions are over and there’s no better time to book your next vacation to Carmel by the Sea!
Carmel by the Sea 3 day Itinerary. This sea side city is one of the most charming destinations around offering so much to see and do.
Have a long weekend and not sure where to go? Carmel by the Sea is a great option just a few hours from Los Angeles County north on the 101. Here's a few ideas as to what to do either on a couples retreat or with the family. Oh and since they are celebrating their Centennial Birthday, there are even more events planned to enjoy.
Dating back to the late 1920's, the property located on the Holman Ranch has changed several hands over the years. "Casa Escondida" or the Hidden House was one of the first resorts in Carmel Valley and quickly became a hub for Hollywood elites during the 40's. Stars such as Marlon Brando, Joan Crawford and Charlie Chaplin ......
Dating back to the 20's, this restaurant has taken on a rebirth of sorts with an overhaul of both it's interior and menu after the recent acquirement by the Lowder Family. Featuring Local wines, seafood and steaks this restaurants take has an eye on seasonal offerings along side their feel good foods.
It's been too long since we last visited the coastal area near Carmel by the Sea, 20 years to be exact. We were graciously invited for a weekend stay at Hofsas House and we couldn't have had a better time or weather during our trip. If you are not familiar with the area, Carmel By The Sea is approximately 325 miles north of Los Angeles off the 101.
During our recent visit to the Carmel/Monterey Bay area we planned a visit the aquarium since we had heard so many great things about it. It opened in 1984 and is quite an impressive building.
During our stay in Carmel By The Sea our hosts at Hofsas House recommended we visit Anton & Michel for dinner. We were in for a pleasant surprise and some very good food. Recently renovated in 2013, the space is warm and inviting with the usage of earth tones and natural materials used.
